Raul Gonzalez

Founder of TMS Insurance Brokerage

Raul Gonzalez is a 25-year veteran of the insurance industry and the founder of TMS Insurance Brokerage, established in 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. Over the past decade, Raul has built one of the most agent-focused FMOs in the region — driven by a simple but powerful principle: servant leadership.

Raised by a single mother in San Antonio, Raul learned early on the value of hard work, humility, and helping others rise. Those values shaped his career and ultimately inspired him to create a different kind of agency — one that offers independent agents real training, reliable support, and the mentorship most uplines promise but rarely deliver.

A proud husband and father of three (one son and two daughters), Raul believes in building a life where family always comes first. That balance of business leadership and personal purpose is what fuels his vision for TMS.

Transforming the Industry

Over the years, Raul saw firsthand what was broken in the industry. Too many FMOs simply recruit agents, throw them a few brochures, and say “go sell.” That transactional model leads to frustration, high turnover, and untapped potential. Raul wanted to change that — so he partnered with longtime MGA and trusted friend Oscar Ibieta to launch Medicare Agent IQ, a podcast and YouTube channel designed to give agents the real-world skills and mindset they need to thrive.

Through Medicare Agent IQ, Raul shares agent-focused strategies, sales tips, compliance updates, and industry insights — always with one goal: to help agents reach the next level.

Whether he’s mentoring a new agent, recording an episode, or spending time with his wife and kids, Raul brings passion, perspective, and integrity to everything he does.
