TMS Insurance Brokerage was founded in 2013 by Raul Gonzalez, a seasoned life and health insurance agent with over 20 years of industry experience. After six years as a captive agent at Humana, Raul saw a gap in the industry. Independent agents had the freedom to grow their businesses, but often lacked the support they needed to succeed. On the other hand, captive agents had access to tools and resources but sacrificed flexibility.
Raul envisioned a better way—a company that would combine the best of both worlds: the independence of being your own boss with the robust support of a larger organization. With that vision, TMS Insurance Brokerage was born.
What started as a small Medicare General Agency in San Antonio has grown into a regional Medicare Field Marketing Organization (FMO) with agents across Texas and beyond.
